Fake Doctor Arrested for False Pretense and Medical Fraud
Man pretending to be a Doctor arrested.
A 32 year old man named Prince Agyapong has been hauled before the Kumasi Circuit Court . The individual disguised as a Doctor currently facing charges of defrauding under Section 131 of the Criminal Offences Act, Act 29 of 1960, was apprehended by authorities at Tafo Government Hospital.

Additionally, he faces accusations of falsely practicing medicine, a violation of Section 48 of the Health Professional Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857).
After being handed over to Tafo Pankrono Station police, the suspect confessed during interrogation that he is not a medical doctor at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). Subsequently, he was presented before the court and pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The prosecution requested the court to remand the suspect in police custody to aid further investigations.
