Select your running mate from Bono, Bono East or else … – Dormaahene to H.E. Bawumia
Dormaahene, Nana Agyemang Badu I, has encouraged Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to consider selecting his running mate from either the Bono or Bono East regions.
During a campaign visit, Dormaahene advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to broaden their search for a running mate to avoid neglecting certain regions, warning that overlooking candidates from the Bono and Bono East regions could lead to reduced support from those areas. He highlighted individuals like Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Mahama Afful, and Nana Obiri Boahen as potential contenders, emphasizing their intellectual prowess and leadership qualities.
Dormaahene suggested that choosing a running mate from these regions would not only facilitate development but also garner significant support from the local populace, contributing to the party’s overall success. He expressed confidence that selecting a running mate from Bono East would be particularly advantageous in advancing regional interests and party objectives.
Dormaahene noted that beyond political advantages, this decision could promote unity and progress across the country. However, he reassured his commitment to supporting the party regardless of their choice of running mate.
