‘I Am Suffering, Please Remember Your Promise’ – Yolo Star, Drogba Begs Bawumia
Ghanaian actor John Bredu Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, is currently fighting a rare and debilitating nerve disorder called demyelination. Renowned for his role in the acclaimed TV series “Yolo,” Drogba has been enduring rigorous treatment for over two and a half years. Despite his public appeals for financial support, he is still grappling with overwhelming medical expenses.
Drogba has issued a poignant reminder to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to fulfill his promise of funding his treatment abroad. Demyelinating diseases damage the myelin sheath, the protective covering around nerve fibers in the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. This damage disrupts nerve impulses, leading to severe neurological symptoms such as difficulty walking, vision problems, and changes in bowel and bladder function.
Donations are still being accepted to support Drogba’s ongoing treatment.
