Follow Your Own Vision” – Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s Parting Words to New SSNIT Boss
As he bid farewell to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) team, outgoing Director-General Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang shared words of wisdom with his successor, Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Marfo.
He encouraged Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Marfo to forge his own path and bring his unique vision to the table, just as he had done during his own tenure. With 7 years of working together under their belts, Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang expressed his confidence in Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Marfo ability to lead the trust to even greater heights.
He also extended a heartfelt plea to the staff to offer their unwavering support to Kofi him just as they had done for him. By doing so, they would be building on the solid foundation they had laid together and propelling the trust forward. Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang drew inspiration from the wise words of former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who had once advised his own successor to “do it your way.”
As he passed the baton to Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Marfo, Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang assured the staff that he would remain a part of the SSNIT family, even as he moved on to new horizons. His parting message was one of hope, unity, and continued success for the trust he had served so diligently.
