A Friendship Misunderstood

Agyemang-Badu clarified in his recent interview that his relationship with Delay is purely platonic.

Delay is my good friend. I visit her all the time and sometimes eat at her place. Whenever I am hungry and need some fufu, I just call her and she prepares it for me. I use her car sometimes and that is why people assumed we were dating. She is a lovely person but we have never dated,” he explained.

The former midfielder emphasized the depth of their friendship, noting that Delay’s hospitality and kindness have often been misinterpreted.

“She is a lovely person who always cooks for me, but we have never dated. People see us together and jump to conclusions, but it’s nothing more than a strong friendship,” he reiterated.

Agyemang-Badu also disclosed that another reason he never dated her is because she was in a serious relationship.

“Contrary to rumors, Delay and I are like siblings. She was in a serious relationship, and I respect that. Our bond is based on mutual respect and understanding,” he stated.

Dispelling Myths

Addressing the misconceptions about their relationship, Agyemang-Badu highlighted the importance of boundaries in friendships.

“I’m like a brother to her. We have a great friendship, and I respect her a lot. It’s important to understand that not every close relationship between a man and a woman is romantic,” he added.

“Whitebox Media stands for unity, respect, and harmony as Ghana approaches this critical election. Together, let’s make peace our priority and build a future where every voice is heard, and every life is valued.”
