2 Fulani Herdsmen Beheaded In Mame Krobo-Nkwanta
Two herdsmen have been brutally murdered in the Mame Krobo-Nkwanta area of the Kwahu Afram Plains South District, Eastern Region. The victims were found with their heads severed and other body parts removed. Additionally, both bodies showed signs of gunshot wounds on their backs.
This gruesome discovery has instilled fear among the local farming community. The incident came to light when one of the Fulani herdsmen reported his two brothers missing and set out to find them, only to discover their bodies.
The local police were promptly notified and have launched an investigation into the murders. Assembly Member Nkansah confirmed that the deceased were identified as Fulani men who had come to town to purchase food items and charge their phones.
Nkansah received a call on the evening of Thursday, May 23, 2024, from citizens who stumbled upon the bodies on their way to Krobo-Nkwanta. Upon arriving at the scene, only one body was initially found. The second body was discovered shortly after, identified by another Fulani man who had come looking for his brothers.
The police have transported the bodies to a morgue for preservation as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, residents are living in fear and panic, as such a violent incident has not occurred in the district for some time.
