Public sector salaries increased by 23% .
The government has approved a significant adjustment of 23% in the salaries of public sector workers following negotiations on the 2024 base pay.

This increase, effective from January 1st of this year, has been confirmed by the Controller and Accountant General, Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem, to the Daily Graphic.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to employee welfare, Kwaning-Bosompem highlighted timely and accurate salary payments, even during challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organized Labor, including the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU), has acknowledged and confirmed the salary adjustment, indicating a smooth implementation without complaints.
This adjustment follows last year’s 30% increase in the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), marking a significant stride in employee compensation compared to previous years.
