An 8-year-old boy named Kwaku was brutally murdered by a man believed to be mentally challenged.

The peaceful community of Abrepo Asubonteng was shattered when the suspected madman, reportedly in his 30s, arrived with his family.
Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying sequence of events on the Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9 FM with Sir John.
The victim and his sister were on an errand to buy a rubber bag when they encountered the man. While his sister managed to escape, Kwaku was not as fortunate.
A Heinous Crime
Despite the community’s attempts to intervene, they were intimidated by the man’s possession of two sharp cutlasses.
The police, upon arriving at the scene, were initially unable to contain the situation and temporarily withdrew, a delay that tragically allowed the him to commit the heinous act.
The community’s grief turned to horror as they witnessed the brutal murder of young Kwaku.
Community’s Courageous Response
In a shocking turn of events, the community members eventually mustered the courage to confront and kill the madman.
Both the victim and the perpetrator were subsequently taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue.
As the Abrepo Asubonteng community mourns the loss of young Kwaku, they are also coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
