Headucator addressed the pervasive issue of homophobia and the potential impact of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in Ghana.

She expressed her readiness to face any future challenges, stating, “People ask me what I’ll do if the bill is passed. I’m like, are you that broke that you don’t know other countries and airplanes exist?” She revealed that she has already received offers from the UK and is considering other options.

During the candid conversation, Headucator disclosed that she has dated pastors since her gender transition, noting the complexities these relationships brought. “I’ve dated a few pastors but there’s was who made it feel weird because…, he will be praying at dawn, and I will feel like I’m the ‘witch’ he’s praying against,” she recounted, describing one particularly unusual experience. “I’m like, are you trying to take the trans out of me? Don’t do that.” Despite these odd moments, she affirmed her continued belief in God, saying, “My only fear is God.”

Headucator’s open dialogue about her faith, relationships, and personal journey offers a rare and insightful glimpse into the life of a transgender individual navigating a conservative society.

As the conversation about LGBTQ+ rights continues to evolve in Ghana, her story stands as a testament to resilience and authenticity in the face of adversity.
