Olympics 2024; watch video of athletes representing team Ghana 🇬🇭
Ghana will be represented by nine athletes in five events at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Here are their profiles:
1. Harry Stacey- Competing in the Men’s 100 meters freestyle in swimming. He has been preparing intensively for this event, aiming to make a significant impact.
2. Joselle Mensah- Competing in the Women’s 50 meters freestyle in swimming. Joselle is known for her speed and agility in the pool.
3. Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah- A reigning African high jumper, she will be competing in the Women’s high jump. Rose has previously won several continental titles and is aiming for an Olympic medal in her debut.
4. Abdul Rashid Saminu – Competing in the Men’s 200 meters race. Abdul Rashid is a sprinter with a strong record in national competitions.
5. Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, and Edwin Gadayi- These five athletes make up Ghana’s Men’s 4×100 meters relay team. They have qualified for the Olympics with strong performances in previous meets and are expected to be competitive in Paris.
The team will undergo a two-week intensive training camp in Strasbourg before the games begin.
