Afronita and Abigail grabs bronze at the 17th Britain’s Got Talent show
Ghanaian dance duo Afronita and Abigail secured third place in the finale of the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent show. Their impressive dance moves and inspiring story captivated audiences throughout the competition, proudly representing Ghana and Africa on the global stage.
On Sunday, June 2, the duo delivered an electrifying performance adorned in vibrant Ghanaian colors, earning them a spot in the top three out of ten finalists.
Despite not winning, placing third is a significant accomplishment for the Africans on this international platform. They received widespread support from Ghanaians both domestically and internationally.
The ten finalists included a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group. The winner, Sydnie Christmas, was followed by Jack Rhodes in second place, with Abigail and Afronita taking third.
The ITV show judges, Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden, along with hosts Ant and Dec, returned for the final episode of the series. The winner of the 17th series of BGT receives a £250,000 cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
Public votes were cast during the live show, with viewers encouraged to participate. Sydnie Christmas was overwhelmed with emotion after being announced the winner, expressing immense gratitude for the love and support she received.
