‘We have outgrown NDC and NPP; Ghana needs a better leader now’ – Camidoh
Ghanaian musician Raphael Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, has voiced his dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in the country.
In a recent interview on Agyenkwa FM, the “Sugarcane” hitmaker highlighted the severe impact of illegal mining on Ghana’s water bodies and the associated risks to public health.
Blaming the government for this ongoing issue, Camidoh stated that Ghana has outgrown the two major political parties, NDC and NPP. He emphasized the need for a progressive and development-oriented leader to steer the nation forward.
“Water that is supposed to be colorless now has color, and these things are powered by leaders in charge of affairs. I wish and pray for a good leader. We have grown to a point where it is not about political parties anymore. Ghana deserves a good leader,” he said.
Camidoh further stressed, “Ghanaians are not asking for much, all we want are basic amenities like water, quality food, stable electricity, a clean environment, and others.”
He added, “The country is not safe anymore, because things are hard… right now I don’t even care about any political party, all I wish for is a better Ghana.”
Illegal mining remains a significant concern in Ghana, with many citizens condemning the practice and calling for decisive action from the president. Protests against illegal mining have led to arrests and court cases, highlighting the urgency of the issue.
