Organised Labour suspends strike
Organised Labour has suspended its planned nationwide strike, initially set for October 10, aimed at addressing the escalating illegal mining menace. The Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Joshua Ansah, made the announcement on Wednesday.
The Congress revealed that the decision was influenced by a high-level meeting with the government, during which the administration promised stronger and more effective measures to combat illegal mining. The commitment to bolstering the fight against this environmental and economic threat led to the suspension of the strike.
