I am the GOAT of the Ghanaian movie industry – Agya Koo boasts
Renowned Ghanaian actor Alexander Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has made a bold declaration about his standing in the Ghanaian movie industry.
In a recent statement, Agya Koo asserted that no actor or actress in the industry can match his talent and impact.
Unmatched Talent
“The Ghanaian movie industry has never seen an actor of my caliber. I am bigger than all the actors and actresses they have now,” Agya Koo proclaimed.
His confidence in his abilities and contributions to the industry is evident as he positions himself as the greatest of all time (GOAT).
Controversial Blacklisting
Agya Koo also revealed a controversial incident that he believes led to his blacklisting by industry directors. According to him, his refusal to perform a nude scene in a movie where he was cast as the famous historical figure Okomfo Anokye was the catalyst for his exclusion.
“I am saying this. It was because of one movie that I was boycotted. It was an Okomfo Anokye movie and I was supposed to bathe in a river. Yes, the history is there and he (Okomfo Anokye) bathed in the river. But when he was bathing in the river there was no camera filming him. But the director wanted me to go naked in front of all the cast and crew and I refused,” Agya Koo explained.
Agya Koo’s statements have sparked discussions within the Ghanaian movie industry and among fans.
While some support his claims and admire his stance on maintaining his principles, others question the validity of his assertions and the impact of his actions on his career.
