Supporters of the government and the New Patriotic Party quickly shared photos of the former finance minister, criticizing the malicious health rumors.

After a turbulent tenure as finance minister, Ofori-Atta now serves as President Akufo-Addo’s senior economic advisor.

He was removed from his position as finance minister on February 14, 2024, following over a year of controversy and protests.

Ofori-Atta’s recent public appearances have reassured many about his well-being, putting an end to the unfounded rumors about his health.
